Vacuum & Cryogenics – Bridging Research and Industrial Applications

On Thursday 29 October, Interreg project COMET hosts an interactive afternoon session exploring how the extreme technological requirements of the Einstein Telescope can drive innovation in vacuum and cryogenic technologies.

Companies, researchers and technology experts will come together to explore concrete challenges in areas such as ultra-high vacuum, cryogenic cooling and vibration reduction. Following an introduction to the Einstein Telescope by Gideon Koekoek, Associate Professor of Physics, participants will discuss technological needs, exchange expertise and identify opportunities for R&D collaboration.

The session also introduces the support available through COMET for Dutch-German R&D collaborations, including funding of up to €75,000 for SMEs and knowledge institutions.

Date: October 29th

Time: 13:30 - 17:00 (walk in starts at 13:00)

Location: Hallenweg 23, University of Twente

The COMET workshop is part of the 5th IWC-HTS International Workshop on Cooling Systems for HTS Applications. Participation in the COMET afternoon session is free of charge. Interested? Register here: Vacuum & Cryogenics: Bridging Research and Industrial Applications
